Reports to – Director Finance

Job Purpose – The purpose of this role is to strategize and deliver technical analysis around business performance at company

The role incumbent is expected to support the sales channels and support function teams in their delivery of budgets, forecasts and long-range plans. The role holder is expected to drive improvement in business performance and drive cost optimization.

Key Job Responsibilities

Deliver technical analysis around business performance Lead organization wide financial planning and analysis process, including annual budget and quarterly financial forecasts Choose and implement new systems that enhance financial analysis, enable decision making and ensure data integrity Develop financial and non-financial key performance indicators. Identify opportunities to improve existing business performance and decision making Preparation of the periodic, monthly, quarterly and annual financial analysis focused around the revenues and costs that supports the decision-making process of the management Preparation & management of the financials of the organization’s Annual Business Plan, Annual Budgeting Process, and Current Year Forecasts with five-year strategic business plan including innovation around gainful cost reductions to achieve continuous and enhanced efficiency Proactively analyze (internal and external) current and past industry trends to gather insights across revenue, cost of sales, expenses Analyze plan versus actual on a monthly basis and provide analytical insights into business drivers, channel performance, product mix, employee productivity and recommend strategic interventions required Analyze partner-level performance, product mix movements, market share position, competition benchmarking and other analytical reports for management decision-making Analyse product margins, partner profitability and channel profitability. Recommend corrective actions and interventions required for course correction Establish budget approval process for all major spends in opex/capex including evaluation and approval for contests/rewards/awards for employees Evaluate new business proposal and recommend go- no go to management based on financial evaluation of the projects/proposals Drive improvement in business performance Analyse business performance - monitoring and analysis of regional, branch and channel centric businesswise profitability on a monthly basis and suggest recommendations for areas of improvement across revenue and cost drivers Prepare finance reviews on business performance that highlight key risks, opportunities and proposed action steps Drive cost optimization Support revenue and profitability analysis (total business, channels, regions and branches) and give key insights to management for corrective actions Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Knowledge MS office: Strong computer skills including Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, word and accounting programs. Must be proficient in data analysis, presentations and interpretation Industry Knowledge: must have a strong hold on financial services – industry and products Skills Functional Analytical skills - Strong conceptual and numerical thinking skills are necessary traits for this role. Must have highest standards of accuracy and precision. People Management: must be a strong team player, must demonstrate ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity. Must be able to communicate effectively and assertively with various stakeholders. Must be able to challenge stakeholders with strong back up. Ability to connect across levels and across functions. Technical Aptitude: ability to perform variance analysis and reporting - Ability to define, analyse and report on financial and/or non-financial key performance indicators – crisp and concise messaging. Must be able to interpret complex data and relate to organizational objectives.
